So, I’m pretty much BFF’s with the queen herself…Martha Stewart! Ok, not really BUT I did join the new Martha Stewart Wine Club so I feel like we mine as well be best friends. Right?! Martha herself picks out the allocation each month based on what she’s lovin’ at the moment. How cool is that? It’s unlike any other wine club i’m a member of that’s for sure. But what if I don’t seem to have the same preferences as she? Well I quickly learned that I can go to her site and pick and choose what I would like to purchase…its a win-win! Lets get down to the wine….
The Martha Stewart Wine Club
I got my first Martha Stewart Wine Club shipment this month and it was perfection. I shouldn’t have been so surprised that I loved the choices so much since it was from THEE Martha Stewart haha. Anyways, this months shipment included four, gorgeous, vastly different roses. Roses are the perfect summer sipping wine so I see why that is what she chose this first month of summer. Another reason I loved this choice is that all four were the same varietal allowing me to try four different roses side-by-side.
Three of the four wines were from a different region. This is a beautiful thing because I got to see how each region produced their roses and what flavor profiles they strive for. It allowed me to learn that much more about each region. Lastly, it helped point me in the direction of which rose region I am more fond of!
The 2016 Racine Cotes de Provence Rose was the first beauty I tried. This rose is very dry, full of fruity and floral notes, and is only $17.99. Created by the descendent of a world renowned Burgundian wine growing family, I was really looking forward to this wine and I was not let down. Definitely lived up to the family name. Thank you Ms. Stewart for introducing this lovely rose to me.
The Abbazia Moscato Rose Dolce is a semi-sweet, Italian sparkler that is absolute perfection for the heat this summer! I love that this selection is only 7% ABV. It’s so nice to have a lighter wine as an option especially when only $14.99.
The 2016 Les Muraires Coup de Rose, from Cotes de Provence, was another very dry rose. This one was VERY light on the palette lending to it a very refreshing aspect. Again, perfect for summer! At $22.99 I would absolutely buy this one again. (I am currently sipping on it as I type this haha).
Lastly, I tried the 2016 Villa Ruby Caresse de Rose. This semi-dry rose had the most gorgeous color. I mean, look at it! Anyways, with melon notes on the palette I quickly fell in love with this wine. I couldn’t believe it was being sold for under $20!
Did I mention that with your purchase or Martha Stewart Wine Club membership you get recipes and food pairings for the wine?! From the queen herself? I’m officially a believer in the Martha Stewart Wine Club. Bravo, Martha Stewart, Bravo!
A little bonus…The lovelies over at the Martha Stewart Wine Club have agreed to give my followers 20% off storewide. Just use the code BRI20 here!!
