Clif Family Winery
Wine & Food Club
If you have frequented wine tasting regions a time or two you have probably heard the term “farm to table” many a time. The idea of food being grown RIGHT THERE, cooked, then brought to my table is my idea of heaven. One thing you may not know about me is I am fairly obsessed with what my family and I eat. I want wholesome, organic, non processed food as much as possible. When this obsession of mine can come into play with the wine I drink I am one happy girl. It was not until I came across Clif Family Winery that I found out my love for wine and wholesome foods can be combined in a wine club. Yes, it’s true!
In each shipment, wine club members not only receive phenomenal wine but, also, foods that they created from their certified organic farm. How great is that?! Their farm is bustling with bees, chickens, and all kinds of wild life that just adds to their agriculture and their story.
A couple months back I read an article by a French Wine Maker who grew and harvested spices amongst his vines. His belief was that there is no better wine pairing than foods grown right there amongst the vines. Ever since reading that article I have constantly been thinking about that idea and cannot believe I am lucky enough to experience that myself, thanks to Clif Family Winery!
How does the food taste? Well, lets just say my husband could not get his grubby hands in to it all fast enough and has been eating it non stop. The chocolate dipped cherries were gone within ten minutes of opening the box. Also, get this, this morning I fed my toddler toast topped with the Persimmon Butter and he was literally moaning!!! HAHA. But better yet, I felt so good feeding him something grown from an organic garden and having the peace of mind of knowing where his food came from. If you can’t tell…I am in organic heaven!
The wine is just as phenomenal. The ’16 Rose has bright acidity mixed with powerful aromas of pear and watermelon. We drank this by the pool this week and it could not have been any more perfect. It is $20.80 for wine club members. As for the Clif Family Winery Syrah, it is very deep in color, huge tannins and an even bigger palate. It is $36 for wine club members and I could not recommend it more.
If you are looking for a new wine club membership to join I HIGHLY recommend checking out Clif Family Winery. This club is unlike any other club membership I have ever come across or been a part of. Is there anything not to love about both wine and food being delivered to your doorstep?!
